How does my card work?

Your card is a VISA/MasterCard prepaid reloadable card. Money available for spending is determined by the amount of money you load on the card. The card carries the VISA/MasterCard logo, so you can use it anywhere VISA/MasterCard debit cards are accepted – in stores, online or over the phone. Each time you use your card, the purchase amount is automatically deducted from your card balance. You can always add more money onto the card.

Where can I use my card?

 You can use your card:

  • at any merchant that accepts VISA/MasterCard debit cards

  • online for purchases and bill payments

  • at financial institutions that accept VISA/MasterCard debit cards to make cash withdrawals

  • at any ATM that accepts VISA/MasterCard debit cards

How do I add money to my card?

You can add money to your card online, at the financial institution where you obtained your card, through the direct deposit of your salary or at any ReadyLink merchant.

Are there minimum and maximum load amounts for my card?

Yes. Minimum load amount is $0.01 and maximum load amount is $5,000. Your card cannot exceed $10,000.

How can I access cash?

Use your PIN number to withdraw funds from any ATM where VISA/MasterCard debit cards are accepted. To withdraw funds from a financial institution, present the card to the teller and ask for a cash advance or withdrawal. In some instances, retailers will allow you to obtain cash back after making a purchase when you enter your PIN and select "debit" on the point of sale terminal. Is there a daily limit on how much cash I can withdraw from an ATM?

Yes, there is a daily ATM withdrawal limit of $500, although some ATMs may have a lower daily limit. If you need additional funds, you can take your card to a teller at any financial institution that accepts VISA/MasterCard debit cards to withdraw an additional amount. How can I find out what my remaining balance is?

You can obtain your account balance anytime by logging online or by calling customer service at 866.466.0058 (954.377.4496 outside the U.S.). Some ATMs may offer the capability of providing your account balance as well. Please refer to the Fee Schedule for possible fees.

What is the difference between my Coopera Prepaid Reloadable VISA/MasterCard Card and a debit card, a credit card or a gift card?

  • Different from a debit card because your card is not directly linked to your checking account at a financial institution.

  • Different from a credit card because the money that is on your Coopera Card is funded by you.

  • Different from a gift card because the gift card is a onetime use card (it cannot be reloaded).

Can I use my card to pay bills?

Yes you can use your Coopera Card to pay bills or shop online.

Can I build a credit history with my card?

You cannot build a traditional credit history with your card at this time.
